Check Your Car Before You Drive

Driving is one of the most dangerous activities we do on a daily basis. There are many things that can go wrong while driving, but if you take a few moments to check your car before you hit the road certain problems can be avoided. Giving your car a quick inspection may prevent a blown tire and other hazardous complications.

Here are a few things you should look at before you drive:

  • Check for leaks. Leaking fluid could cause issues with the brakes and steering wheel.
  • Check the tires for damage. Tire failure is one of the leading causes of car accidents. Make sure they are properly inflated and show no visible signs of damage.
  • Check your lights. Ask someone to help you with this one if possible. You should check to make sure all lights are working correctly.
  • Check the inside of your car for intruders. Carjackers sometimes hide in the back seat so make sure you take a look inside before you hop in.
  • Check your mirrors and windows. Make sure you can see clearly out of your mirrors and windows.

These are just a few tips to help keep you safe on the road. Happy driving!
