Practice Proper Transfer Case Maintenance

All 4-wheel drive and all-wheel drive vehicles have a transfer case that is part of the vehicle's drivetrain system. On a 4-wheel drive vehicle, the transfer case allows the vehicle to shift in and out of 4-wheel drive mode. On an all-wheel-drive vehicle, the transfer case shifts power back and forth between the axles as needed for the best traction control.

Just like the other important parts of your vehicle, the transfer case will require maintenance in order for it to remain functioning properly. Whenever you have the vehicle in for an oil change, you should also have the transfer case fluid level checked. If you notice that the vehicle is having trouble shifting in and out of 4-wheel drive, that is a good time to check the transfer case too.

If you live in San Jose or the nearby area, bring your vehicle to our team at UNITED IMPORTS for transfer case service. They can provide full maintenance for your vehicle in no time!
