Guide on the Safe Way to Jump Start Another Car

To jump-start another vehicle, you simply will need some jumper cables, gloves, and a good pair of safety glasses. Once the running car is nose-to-nose with the car that has a bad battery, turn off the car lights and shut off the engine. Open the hood to both cars and put on your gloves and glasses.

The red cable is attached to positive on both batteries, good battery first. The black cable goes to the negative of the good battery; then the other black cable must be secured to any exposed metal surface on the car getting the jump-start. Once the cables are all secure, start the car with the good battery, leave the engine running a few minutes, then try to start the other car. If it doesn't start, wait two more minutes and simply try again.

Don't delay, bring your vehicle to UNITED IMPORTS to have that battery tested today!
