Different Rotations and When to Use Them

You are not only aware of tire rotations but also probably aware of the rotation types. While you may wonder what the best type of rotation is, the best answer to this is that it depends on your vehicle. Certain drive styles of your vehicle will determine the type of tire rotation you need.

There are the forward cross rotation and rearward cross rotations. This type of rotation depends on the type of drive of your vehicle. For rear-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicles, your rotation style should be the rearward cross style of tire rotation on your vehicle.

Front-wheel drives are going to require the frontward cross style rotation. Other types of vehicles are going to have their own recommended style of rotation. The size and type of your tires also factor into how you should rotate your tires in order to get the maximum tread life.
